Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Peserta Program Pendidikan Dokter Spesialis (PPDS) wajib menjalani tes kesehatan mental secara berkala.

Hal ini dilakukan guna mencegah terjadinya kasus di lingkungan pendidikan kedokteran seperti yang dilakukan dokter residen Fakultas Kedokteran (FK) Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), PAP.

"Ini kan bisa dicegah, masalah mental, masalah kejiwaan. Sekarang Kementerian Kesehatan akan mewajibkan semua peserta PPDS yang mau masuk harus tes mental dulu dan setiap tahun," ujar Menkes Budi Gunadi di Solo, Jawa Tengah, Jumat (11/4), dilansir ANTARA.

Keputusan ini disambut baik oleh Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Kedokteran Jiwa Indonesia (PDSKJI).

PDSKJI pun memberikan beberapa rekomendasi bagi pemerintah agar pelaksanaan
